Webinar | Anticipating war in the Taiwan Strait

Webinar | Anticipating war in the Taiwan Strait

Dragonfly is hosting a webinar looking at the outcome of Taiwan’s 13 January presidential and legislative elections, and implications for the risk of a major crisis in the region throughout 2024.

The possibility of a crisis in the Taiwan Strait that would disrupt global supply chains and increase the risk of military conflict between China and the US looms large. Whoever Taiwan’s next president is will have a key role in determining how the island approaches protecting itself against Chinese aggression, while preserving its sovereignty and democracy.

In this webinar, we will cover:

  • What the result of Taiwan’s elections mean for the island’s relationship with China
  • The likelihood of a military and political crisis in the Taiwan Strait in the coming year
  • What this means for US-China relations
  • Implications for businesses in the region and globally

This webinar will take place on Thursday, 18 January 2024 at 1000hrs London / 1100hrs Paris /1400hrs Dubai / 1800hrs Singapore. It will also include an opportunity for you to pose questions to our panel.
