Israel’s reshaping of the Middle East

Israel’s reshaping of the Middle East

Dragonfly is pleased to invite you to a briefing examining the regional impacts of Israel’s military operations, as well as their effects on safety and security risks across the Middle East.

Since the 7 October 2023 attacks by Hamas, Israel has mounted military strikes in six countries across the Middle East, with the stated objectives of reshaping the region and eliminating all threats.

Israel’s operations have severely weakened Iranian influence and military capabilities, which it has long identified as an existential threat and as the main source of instability in the region. At the same time, Israel’s unwillingness to end military operations in neighbouring countries and its missile strikes against Doha, Qatar on 11 September have led to accusations from regional leaders that it has become the main source of instability in the Middle East.

In this briefing, we will cover:

  • Israel’s expanding regional military operations
  • The outlook for Israel’s military operations in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen
  • The prospects of renewed violence in the West Bank, amid reports of Israeli annexation
  • The regional objectives for Netanyahu’s government ahead of elections due in 2026
