Webinar | Public sector: How to safeguard critical supply chain
Join FiscalNote Global Intelligence for special webinar examining how the public sector can manage supply chain risk effectively, given the rising pressure from governments to make supply chains that are critical to economic and national security more robust.
This will take place on Wednesday, 31 January at 1100hrs Washington DC / 1600hrs London / 1700hrs Paris, and it will include an opportunity for you to pose questions to our panel.
Rising geopolitical tensions, coupled with the rising capability of hackers to endanger national infrastructure, have led US President Biden to establish the new White House Council on Supply Chain Resilience, with more than 30 actions and over $500 million allocated to support America’s critical supply chains. Meanwhile, the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act includes provisions to secure supply chains in six critical industries, including pharmaceuticals and semiconductors. Other Western governments may follow suit.
The expectation is that government agencies and other public sector organisations will play a greater role in monitoring their supply chains for issues and vulnerabilities. Yet for most organisations, supply chain risk management is a manual, time-consuming and imprecise process.
