Webinar | Russian elections: Keeping up appearances
FiscalNote Global Intelligence is hosting a special webinar to explore the implications of the upcoming presidential election in Russia, scheduled for 15-17 March.
Vladimir Putin is almost certain to be announced as the winner of the upcoming election, which would see him serve as president until 2030. The authorities will go to great lengths to ensure that Putin’s election victory is delivered smoothly and without much incident. His regime appears to face few domestic political threats, particularly following the death of opposition leader Alexei Navalny. And the Russian economy is growing, despite unprecedented Western sanctions. But this image of stability conceals serious political and economic imbalances set off by Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
This webinar brings together experts on Russia from two of FiscalNote Global Intelligence’s brands, Dragonfly and FrontierView, to discuss the political and economic implications of the election. In particular, they will explore key risks accumulating beneath the surface that will affect the chances of the Putin regime’s survival in the coming years.
In this webinar, we will cover:
- The military and economic policy changes likely after the election
- The impact of these on Russia’s political and economic outlook and stability
- Russia’s foreign policy ambitions during Putin’s fifth term as president
This webinar will take place on Wednesday, 28 February at 1100hrs New York / 1600hrs London / 1700hrs Paris / 2000hrs Dubai. It will also include an opportunity for you to pose questions to our panel.
