Webinar | Russia’s next moves in Africa
Dragonfly is hosting a webinar on Russia’s growing influence in Africa and what this means for Western businesses operating on the continent.
Russia has expanded its diplomatic and security footprint across Africa in recent years. It has done so using private military companies, such as Africa Corps (formerly Wagner Group), and a range of companies. Russia’s involvement in Africa has seemingly exacerbated several jihadist insurgencies, undermined democratic governance, and helped Russian businesses to receive preferential treatment from governments it is close to.
In this webinar, we will cover:
- Russia’s strategic aims in Africa
- How Moscow is trying to achieve these
- The next countries in which Russia will try to gain influence
- The threats and risks that Russia’s influence poses to businesses
This webinar will take place on Thursday, 27 June at 1100hrs New York / 1600hrs London / 1700hrs Paris / 1900hrs Dubai. It will also include an opportunity for you to pose questions to our panel.
