CASE STUDY

Modelling security risk

A global chemicals company commissioned us to conduct a political and security risk assessment across 150 sites in 50 countries, informing their strategy for the political risk insurance market. We developed a bespoke quantitative risk model to quantify insurance needs and identify priority sites for risk transfer or mitigation.

Recognising terrorism as a principal risk, the client requested a scenario-based assessment of terrorism risk to its production sites, corporate locations and logistics network. Our consultants audited security controls, identified gaps and provided recommendations for global and local security standards. These were applied across the company’s portfolio to ensure consistency in risk management and mitigation strategies.

CASE STUDY

Responding to Covid-19

During the early months of the Covid-19 pandemic, an organisation in the financial sector asked us to develop a bespoke methodology and dashboard to guide unbiased decision-making among the senior leadership on reopening corporate locations globally.

Partnering with specialist technical teams, we quickly built a framework with a custom-delivery platform, covering more than 80 locations in over 30 countries and territories. The platform used weighted metrics, including Covid-19 case data and government restrictions, to provide an unbiased model. This enabled our client to make informed decisions on pandemic response, staff safety and resource prioritisation.
