Webinar | Europe’s strategic autonomy dilemma
Dragonfly is hosting a webinar looking at the prospects for European security as the region faces several looming geopolitical challenges.
There is growing urgency in Europe to take greater responsibility for its security over the next few years. This is particularly given concerns about the threat that Russia poses to the region and that US commitment to European security would waver if Donald Trump returns to the White House next year. Yet achieving strategic autonomy would likely involve challenges, including from far-right political parties whose popularity is surging across much of Europe.
In this webinar, we will cover:
- Whether strategic autonomy is feasible for Europe
- How growing far-right influence will affect this effort, particularly after the European Parliament elections in June
- What steps towards independence from the US would mean for Europe, particularly militarily
This webinar will take place on Thursday, 28 March at 1600hrs London / 1700hrs Paris / 1200hrs New York / 2000hrs Dubai. It will also include an opportunity for you to pose questions to our panel.
