Webinar | US elections: Turmoil looming large
Webinar | US elections: Turmoil looming large
Dragonfly is hosting a webinar looking at security and stability around the US general election, scheduled for 5 November.
Joe Biden’s decision to not seek re-election has contributed to a dramatic few weeks in the US presidential campaign. A failed attempt to assassinate Donald Trump on 13 July had already raised questions about the potential for political violence and a major crisis around the election. Both developments will invariably fuel a sense among voters – and observers globally – that the US is heading towards a high-stakes and defining election.
Our panel will include Eddie Bejarano, North America analyst at Dragonfly, and John Bennett, White House Correspondent and Editor-at-Large for our sister company, CQ/Roll Call.
In this webinar, we will cover:
- How Kamala Harris’ near-certain candidacy will affect the presidential race
- The likelihood of political violence and terrorism during the campaign
- Whether US institutions are resilient enough to avoid a major crisis around the poll
- Trump’s probable policy agenda if he returns to the White House
This webinar will take place on Thursday, 25 July at 0800hrs Los Angeles / 1100hrs Washington DC / 1600hrs London / 1700hrs Paris. It will also include an opportunity for you to pose questions to our panel.
